# Who the Grid is for

> the Grid is a Layer 1 for agentic payments. These pages describe the workflows it's built to support.

The Grid is built for teams shipping agent payment flows:

* **Developers** integrating payments into agent frameworks.
* **Operators** running fleets of agents that need to spend, settle, and reconcile programmatically.
* **Merchants and API providers** accepting per-call, per-token, or streaming payments from agent traffic.

The pages below describe the workflows the Grid is designed for: what the problem looks like in production, and how the Grid's primitives address it.

Out of scope for these docs: validator operators.
